4/8/2023 0 Comments Rage 2 esrbIf you loved DOOM and Quake, than you are sure to love this game as well! Just dont pay full price for a new copy like I did. If you can grab a used copy at a decent price or borrow a friends, I would say, because this flawed gem deserves some acknowledgement. Overall: If you want a game that's trigger happy and not storyline heavy then by all means, pick up a copy of RAGE. The attention to detail in each town and environment is worthy of praise, and you never feel as though the "copy and paste" button was abused in the creation of RAGE. While the game is short-lived the graphics are stunning. With explosive RC cars, killer boomerangs (wingsticks), and adorable freaking spider drones-to name a few- there's always a new and clever way to desimate your enemy. The Good: While not having a terribly diverse group of bad guys, you're hard pressed to grow bored of slaughtering them. The bulk of your gameplay will either be spent in the race circuit, earning certificates to bulk up your ride (which has a disappointingly small amount of options in the way of customization) or crusing the wasteland to your next mission. Answers to questions about the plot are sporadically thrown at you, and the "main bad guy" never evern makes it to the screen. There is little in the way of sidequests-few that there are will have you playing fetch-and the main story arc is short lived and terribly understated. RAGE follows in Final Fantasy 13's ill placed footsteps by playing out as a "long, but pretty hallway". The Bad: If you're looking for an openworld game like Fall Out or Skyrim, look elsewhere. The Ugly: Much like the well endowed blonde at your local bar, RAGE is a stunning game that is highly amusing for awhile, but the lack of overall depth causes you to quickly loose interest and move on to better things. If you threw in a cup Red Dead Redemption, a dash of Bioshock, and a heap load of Fall Out into a blender and pressed "puree", the resulting goo would be RAGE. Red Ded Redemption + Bioshock + Fall Out = RAGE "Legends of the Wasteland" is a two-player co-op mode featuring eight scenarios that expand the game's storyline. In "Rage Combat Rally," you'll use the game's vehicles to shoot down rival players, cross checkpoints, collect items, and more. The third disc is dedicated to multiplayer content. The single-player game, which spans an estimated 15 hours, is spread across the first two discs, with each disc featuring one main city, expanses of hostile terrain, and several adjacent outposts. You'll battle an assortment of mutants, creatures, and gang members with a mix of conventional and unconventional weapons, from pistols and shotguns to crossbows with electric arrows and an edged boomerang called the "wingstick." Also featured in the game are armored dune buggies and ATVs, allowing players to more easily traverse the deadly environments, engage in car combat, and enter optional races to earn money and increase their fame. The game spans three DVDs on Xbox 360. Rage is a first-person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world.
